Tomas & Robert Tillberg
IN THE BEGINNING
The Tillberg legacy began with Robert Tillberg’s design firm in Sweden more than 60 years ago. The company soon became an organization that participated in many of the major and most successful cruise lines in the world.
Tomas Tillberg began his career with his father Robert over 50 years ago and moved to the US in 1996 to set up an autonomous office to better serve his clients in the country. Located in Weston Florida, Tomas is supported by a dedicated team of talented and experienced professionals who share the same passion and values.
Tomas is supported by his partners Carlos Reyes and Nedgé Louis-Jacques who have extensive expertise in the cruise shipping design business. Carlos has over 30 years of experience in architecture and cruise ship design including nearly 10 years as Senior Project Architect with Royal Caribbean.
Since its inception, Tomas Tillberg Design has been involved in several newbuilds, such as the Crystal Serenity, Queen Mary 2, two vessels for Lindblad Expedition built in the US and the Tunisian cruise Ferry Tanit built at DSME in South Korea. The latest are a series of expedition vessels being built at the China Merchant Heavy Industry shipyard in Nantong, China for SunStone Ships. These are the first cruise ships built in China and a breakthrough for the industry and cruise ship construction.
